Floor 3

Far Meeting Room On Left

Karen given the name ‘Alan’, he worked there and was not from too long ago  /  Jo thinks he is about 45 – 50  /  Karen felt he died of cancer  /  Jo feels chest pains, he had heart or lung problems  /  Jo feels that he definitely walks the office  /  Karen says he watched her in the main office, then directed her into the smaller office and only feels warmth from him  /  Jo says here is no negativity from him.  /  Karen feels that he was a workaholic and is now just keeping an eye on things.

Main Office Floor

Karen feels that this building was once a hospital  /  Jo feels chest pains, but says it is not the man in the other office.  /  Anne sees elderly people looking out of the windows

Floor 4

Jo feels sick  /  Jo swears as she feels like she is just about to walk into a set of white double doors (ward doors)  /  Karen is touched on the neck  /  Anne is touched on the knee, like a hand being placed on it  /  Jo feels that it was an old lady  /  Karen is given ‘Dr Who’ and says that a fan works here

Jo shuffles down the corridor, looks into two side rooms and then looks out of the window, as Anne had seen earlier. Jo later says of the event ‘My legs felt very heavy and I felt really old. Then I felt like I was watching myself walking along like some old biddy, in flip flop slippers and a flannelette dress, with curlers in my hair. Lovely! I’ve got a sore neck now.’

Anne picks up on mental abuse

Jo says of the woman that influenced her, that her name was Edith, was 87 and had been there for about 20 years. She walks from one end to the other and checks on her friends in the side rooms because there is nowhere else to go. She has no thought processes, she just wanders and feels lost. She just came out of the room into me and took me where she wanted to go. She is aimless and has no soul or drive. Her dementia started in her late 50’s to early 60’s and her family just dumped her there.

Karen could hear noises coming from the rooms that Jo checked in on, but could not see anything  /  Jo feels that this floor was two wards as she feels a partition cutting it in two.  /  Karen picks up on shouting and people being fed-up in the other ward.  /  Jo feels that although there are a lot of people around, there are no men  /  Karen feels that they are on the next floor up.

Floor 5

Anne felt her hair standing on end  /  Jo senses someone following us  /  Karen feels pressure in her left ear  /  Anne starts singing ‘The Sun Has Got His Hat On’

Boardroom

Anne feels jittery as if someone has put the willies up her  /  Jo hears tapping by the first doorway  /  Anne sees someone standing there  /  Jo starts coughing and has a sore feeling in her throat  /  Karen ‘you two are gonna go off on one’  /  Anne feels like she has a tube down her throat, as does Jo  /  Anne also has a bad chest  /  Karen says this is the floor for the males

Jo feels very angry at herself for making a fuss, because her throat hurts and feels pressure on it. She also feels like she has a mask on her face, a tube down her throat, wired up to drips and a nurse to her left getting angry with her.

Anne has a man with her who has a problem with his lungs and is spitting into a bowl. She feels like she has held a handkerchief to her mouth as she coughs and there is blood on it.

Jo thinks it was a TB ward  /  Jo says the pain in her throat is not all the way down, so the tube was not in her throat, but started further down. A Tracheotomy and it is scraping the inside of her throat.  /  Anne feels it could be a cancer ward  /  Karen is getting nothing  /  Jo can see a mirror above her and behind her and metal in front of her.  /  Anne says that Jo is in a iron lung, and that she is also feeling that it is a ward for Polio, possibly an isolation ward for multiple illnesses

Karen feels that there was a large amount of space between the patients here  /  Jo can see a young boy on the ward with her too  /  Anne says that iron lungs went out in the 20’s or 30’s  /  Jo says that her name is ‘George’ and the young boy is ‘Archie’ or ‘Arthur’. She can hear herself being called Mr Harrington  /  Karen can smell orange squash  /  Jo feels flowers next to her  /  Anne has the feeling of her lungs filling with blood  /  Jo is getting a headache and her neck aches from being kept in the position she is being shown

Karen keeps on seeing shadows in the second doorway  /  Jo sees someone there, it is a tall male doctor  /  Karen sees someone come into the first doorway  /  Jo and Karen see a shadow run through the room and behind Mark

Karen says that this floor was a ward with beds running all the way down it and she feels like she wants to go through the wall at the end, she also had that feeling downstairs

Jo is so bored as the man in the iron lung and feels cold

Bangs heard from the main area and shadows seen

Jo has the weird ear feeling and says it is like the pressure change in an aircraft.  /  Jo hears a bang like someone fell on the floor  /  Karen feels all goosebumpy when she goes into the main area

Main Area

Karen feels like she has stomach problems and has the feeling of it being cut open

Floor 6

Strange rings appear on Jo’s camera when taking pictures in one area  /  Karen feels like she has just got off a theme park ride in that area  /  Karen feels that this floor is the most active of them all.

The consistency of the temperatures is down to the air conditioning within the building. It is interesting to note that although the temperatures remained almost constant throughout the night (within 0.2 deg C) Floor 3 felt much cooler than Floor 4 which felt very stuffy and close.
