24th March 2008    9.30pm – 12am

Location Area's

Near St Richard Statue outside Cathedral (by West Street)

Garden round the side of the Cathedral (by West Street)

Graveyard to the left of the cathedral (by West Street)

Outside The Buttery at the Crypt

Cooper Street

The Cathedral Building

As the weather was not good we were unable to carry out any research experimentation. All information was gathered whilst walking around the areas above and was either picked up by psychic or mediumistic awareness or actual sightings.

Near St Richard's Statue outside the Cathedral

Karen

There is a strong sense of a large crowd gathering and listening to someone speaking either on the steps or some kind of platform – but higher than the rest of the crowd. There is much anger and jeering. A hay cart with a horse is outside of where the entrance to the cathedral is. Possible sentencing or hanging?

Heard a door creak open - physically

Jo

Picked up on a female energy at the walled garden gate entrance.

Micheala, Jo, Dawn & Steve

Saw a physical representation of nun standing at the gate to the walled garden and when they approached to inspect closer she the went into the garden and appeared face to face with Jo and Micheala from the opposite side of the gate.

Heard a door creak open - physically

All

Strong sense of being watching

Footsteps heard walking around the front are of the cathedral along the gravel.

Garden around the side of the Cathedral

Jo

Picked up on female 23 year old nun who sat on the wall next to her outside the door. They watched the chorister boys walking into the entrance door at the side of the church together and she then said "wait until you hear them sing!" She then cupped my face in her hands.

Troy, Mark & Karen S

Figures physically seen walking across the lawned areas

Graveyard to the left of the Cathedral

Karen

Body snatching – digging up of graves.

Jo

Nun from in the garden walked around the graves and grounds with me, and then I did indeed hear the choir singing.

All

Figures seen walking across this area by most people present

Outside the Buttery at the Crypt

Karen

(Karen was informed by Troy that a young girl had commited suicide in the window of this building before picking up this detail)

A young girl of about 16 or 17, with the initial of N (Nell?) being important.

People thought that she had basically contaminated the area and made it evil and there have been many instances of various occults / religions trying to cleanse. Sense of flowers and candles up the side of the house in the alleyway.

She is seen to walk straight through the gate and tries to scare people because of the hard time she has been given.

Sense of the late 1800's – 1859 comes to mind

She was very slim, petite and good looking.

The sense of problems around the stomach area – like being of child which wasn't wanted. There is a defiante sense of her wanting to get rid of whatever was inside her and this like clawing away at her stomach area. Feeling that she was raped and abused from around the age of 12.

She is looked after by another male in the spirit world who is attached to the cloisters area.

There was also a sense of a male who was mugged in the alleyway – but also that the alleyway is longer. Quite possibly another alleyway nearby?

Cooper Street

Karen

Soldier. Stab or bullet wound in the leg. Feeling of angry and violence.

(this area used to be a hospital)

The Cathedral Building

Karen

Before the cathedral was there a flat land with grassy fields, but with dwellings close by. Still a community and sheep grazing. People in sack cloth and with bare feet – 1300's?

Mark, Steve & Anne

Figures seen walking around inside the cathedral through the glass doors.

Dawn and Stu

Figures seen in the windows in the tower

Research Points

Are there other known sightings of figures around the grounds and inside the cathedral and tower?

Is there any records of a nun passing in this area at the age of 23 – or a nunnery here?

Would it make sense for large crowds of people to be gathered here? – for some kind of sentencing or hanging?

Would the chorister boys have entered the cathedral via this doorway?

Was the young girl who committed suicide carrying a baby? Was she 16 /17? Does the name of Nell or the initial N attach to her? Is the date of 1859 relevant?

Have there been any reports of candles / flowers in this alleyway, or of any pagan / occult activity?

Was there a community based here in the 1300's?

We know there was a hospital on the site of Cooper Street, but are there records of soldiers here as well – and would they have bullet or stab wounds?

Is there any reporting of violence or fighting in the Cooper Street area?

Is there any records of body snatchers or the digging up of graves outside this cathedral?
